transfers and trios, and gotta talk with everybody!

Hello everybody! Monday was a normal work day because we had transfers this week so pday was moved to Wednesday. It was also a switchoff day. I got to work with Elder Decker. It was a really fun day even if we didn't have very many appointments. So that's sick. He is really good at inviting and talking with people on the way to appts. We had a couple of missed appts, a good lunch at a members place, and then we had a great appt with our cute Cambodian family followed by a KFC dinner and inviting down a street that was full of bad stuff (well we found that out too late...) Tuesday, we had a pretty normal district meeting day. We studied in the morning, and then had the meeting, and lunch, and because our teaching pool is s little low, we hit the streets and contacted for a couple hours. We intended to try and find an LA, but no such luck. However we did find a cool PI, gave him a BoM and later this week we taught him the restoration! way sick. Then we had anoth...

finding, interviews, switchoffs, the grind? i wouldnt call it that, because its the best. well go with the "norm"

Hello everybody!! This week was not too exciting, because nothing super crazy happened, just more work, and love and all that good stuff. Monday, we headed to the beach as the elders in the district, and it was sooo much fun! We got to play frisbee on the beach, and hang out and stuff. It was so fun. After that, we had a great FHE with a potential investigator. It was way fun. Tuesday, we met with our old dude investigator, ดำรง who is bored of Buddhism, and wants to be Christian. So thats cool. Anyways, we had a scattered lesson on the gospel, explaining what we are expected to do to follow Christ, and then we sent him home. Then we had a quick lunch from 7-11, and after that, we had a quick district meeting, and then left for Asoke to do interviews, which went way behind schedule. So that was fun. It took the whole rest of the afternoon, and we barely made it to English class. But it was good, I got to see some old friends from the office, and president is so f...

The spirit, beach, and baptism!!!!

Hello everybody! Another week in the works. These weeks just get quicker and quicker all the time. I truly don't understand how it works. Monday was mission tour. Which meant every missionary in Bangkok went to the center of the city, Asoke and we met with Elder Homer the second counselor in the Area Asia Presidency. He's pretty straight fire. Basically blasted us for disobedience and then had a good workshop on finding the elect, and those prepared to hear the message of the restoration. It was cool. The spirit was with him. Powerfully. After that, we had s couple appts upon arriving home and that was good. Tuesday, we had s pretty normal day. Since we had mission tour, there was no district council. Just English planning for English class. Which was fun. We also went and saw an investigator we gave a BoM to, but feel like he's kind of losing the fire, and we said another guy, but he gave us the BoM back and said he read the whole thing (in 3 days) an...

Busy, inviting, and perfection

Hello everybody! What another great week. Monday was fun. We went to a super big small called MBK. It's like a mini Ninevah. Great and spacious everyone just wants your money. But if you know where to go and get, it can be fun stuff. Tuesday, normal stuff. Visited an LA an investigator by morning, and then we had district meeting, followed by some inviting and then finished studies and pretty soon it was time for English class again. Today was pretty fun. We talked about different areas of the world and my companion and I talked about Alaska. So we turned the AC all the way up and wore jackets and stuff. Fun ๆ Wednesday, we had a lot of inviting. We took care of all our studies in the morning and had lunch and then had the rest of the day ahead of us. And we had an appt that started and finished before we expected it to start, and then the next one fell through so boom! We had like 3 hours of open time that we spent just walking around and talking to peopl...

Miracles, tech, and switchoffs

Hello everybody! I ran out of time! Get ready for a super short email!! Monday, super fun. We went to the crocodile farm. And fed crocodiles, tigers, and turtles and snakes. Fun stuff. (See the pictures) Tuesday, normal Tuesday stuff with district meeting and English class. We tried to meet an investigator with an LA in the morning and that failed and then our meeting went long so we missed some other stuff Which was too bad. Fun English class though, and then we had the opportunity to teach sone investigators we haven't seen in a while. So that's cool. After that, we switched off!! Wednesday I spent the day with elder bird. It was going to be a fun day but then we had a surprise meeting for technology stuff that took 3 hours. So that was way saddddd. Took a lot of time. After that we had lunch, invited for a bit and saw some cool peeps. Then studies, dinner with an RC and a couple of appts, and a fun inviting session at night in a sketchy street. ...

waterfall floods, documentaries, and hard work

Hello everybody! This week was pretty darn good. Monday was pretty cool. We got up early with the ward and headed out to the waterfall we'd planned for about a month now and it was so much fun! Pictures to come. We got back late though. Oops.. Tuesday, pretty normal Tuesday. We studied in the morning, got some lunch and then had district meeting. Our district here is so sick! Im way excited to work with them all. Then we taught some people, and it was fun. These two guys we teach are way cool, but I feel like they aren't really interested. Just down to talk and ask questions. We keep working with them though... after that, we visited an RC and then found a new investigator as well! So that was cool. Then English class. เหมือนเดิม ... Wednesday, we had s fun opportunity to be missionaries. We studied in the morning, visited with an LA member, and talked about some investigators we are trying to meet with. So that's good. Didn't really get to mee...

I'm a dad, slick zoos, and prayer

Hello everybody! This week was a crazy one! Per the norm I guess... Monday was a spent day and so we had studies in the morning, and visited a straight right family in the day for lunch together. The two of them are some of the original members in Thailand. 40+ years ago. So sick. Then we visited an investie, tried to find another one, and an RC but didn't find either, and then we had a dinner which was way fun with some RCs and members. Good times Tuesday, we helped a member who is leaving on a mission Wednesday (she will serve in Thailand) we got her and her bags in a truck loaded up and ready to go. Fun little service opportunity I guess. After that, district meeting, studies, a ผิดนัด and then English class!!! Then transfer calls!!! It was so crazy. I got called as a trainer and also President had me step down not a district leader anymore. So that's sweet. Wednesday was way fun. We spent the day at safari world. (Look it up on Google maps) and it...

Greenies, so much food!, and just a great time being a missionary

Hello everybody! Monday, we went to asoke and ran around Chinatown with Ronnie then he bought us lunch because it was my birthday week and it was really good. Then we got to back to bangnaa, and we had a family home evening together sending off a sister who is going to be a missionary in Thailand. The food was really good we had cake. Tuesday we had a pretty สบาย day. Studies in the morning, and then lunch she district meeting. Being a district leader is honestly tons of fun. I love leading district meetings. They are straight fire. After that, we went to visit a new investigator whom we met last week. He is cool I guess. พอดี he had to run to the bank though so we couldn't really meet with him. We met with the member who reffered him instead. She is doing well. We are also trying to meet the guys daughter. That would be sick. Then we came back and taught นก who told us he would for sure to go to church on Sunday. Flash forward, he actually didn't come... :...

baptism, switchoffs, and more hard work

Hello everybody! This week was one more week just working hard. Good week Monday, we had plans to go to a way cool Buddhist temple, but it turned out that it was too expensive for us to go in than we wanted, so we opted for a different cool one, and basically had a fun day running around some more touristy areas of Bangkok. In the evening, we had a ward wide family home evening, and it was fun. We talked about ways to help ourselves stay sane and stuff, and we talked at length about organizing houses, and being healthy. After that, what do we do but eat doughnuts after such an occasion. Haha Tuesday was Pioneer day. Pretty fun day. Pretty normal as well. Studies, a couple of appointments, district meeting, and English class. We celebrated an awesome missionary in our district who is the first person in her family to be a missionary. She is way fire. My district was also very kind and bought me a birthday cake. The day honestly flew by. Wednesday I got to switch of...

Zone conf, switchoffs and sports day, oh and BAPTISM!!!!

Hello everybody! This week was pretty great. Just as usual here in the Thailand. Monday was waaay laid back, which was actually really nice. All did was hang out. Pretty much haha. We got up the morning and went and emailed, and then had McDonald's for brunch, met up with the other elders and had more food and then we headed to some markets, looked around, looked at a wat, and that was pretty much it. Not bad though. After that, we headed to the church. And hung out some more. Then we tried to track down an LA without much success, but met up with the WML and he and his family are straight fire. Tuesday was pretty normal. Couple appts in the morning. Some made, some missed, and then we headed over to lunch and had a brief meeting at the church to practice a special musical number for zone conf and for English planning. Good stuff. Also lunch as s district so thst was fun. After that we had studies and stuff. Found a new investigator when we met with an RC, both of...
