it was the best of times, it was the worst of times

Hello Everyone, Monday was zone conference and it was not expected to take very long. We had a training that was supposed to last about two or three hours in the morning where we would teach about how to teach a good first lesson and how to keep our investigators in the loop. It ended up taking until about two or three o'clock. When it was over we cleaned up, did some quick studies and headed over to Bro Munn's house. He is doing okay. We mostly just talked to his wife because he didn't come out to talk to us because he was asleep, sad day. Then we went to see our other investigators, JohnWong and Gail and they are doing way good. They're the family that we've been teaching. They're just so good. The wife has really opened up, she's way comfortable talking to us now, which is really cool. We finished the night inviting at a mall. In the morning on Tuesday we went and visited an alcoholic investigator. Then we tried to go and see another potential investigat...

March 11-17

Hey Everyone, Last Monday we ran around in the morning and by running, I mean literally we ran. We did our exercise and then we had to go to the hospital because Elder Ferrence has rabies shots to go do. After the rabies shots appointment, we went to the computer lab and emailed and stuff. And then after that we went home and changed and went and got some Mexican food for lunch. But I didn't have any money because I lost my ATM card, so I had nothing for lunch that day. I am cheap and I lost my ATM card and I was already in debt to Elder Ferrence for paying for all the meals before that. I ended up paying Elder Ferrence like 1,700 baht because he had paid for a lot of stuff for me, like food. Anyways, after that we went to Bro. Munn's house and visited with him and talked about Joseph Smith and that kind of stuff. And we ended up walking around and talking to people and inviting for the rest of that evening. Tuesday we planned on meeting with Bank in the morning, our dater. Bu...

Dear Friends and Family, I do believe we are all caught up. :) If you know Ethan well, you know he doesn't love really long conversations or meetings that go too long. It seems like he had several of those this week. :) Hello Everyone, Monday was not p day because it's transfer week. In the morning we went and visited some RCs who are a couple that a friend of mine, Elder Jorgensen baptized. They were a referral from their daughter who was baptized in Japan and we went over there kind of unannounced, but they were already awake so it was okay. We went and talked to them for a long time. They just kept talking. It was a long appointment. After that we got a lot of bills paid because we had some bills that were due, got some mail sent in with some baptismal records that are important, and then we made our way over to a mall where we met with an RC and his friend who we're teaching. That was also very, very, very long but it was okay. After that we got home and did our person...

Hello Everyone! Last Monday for p day we got up, went running, went to the email place, did a bunch of emails for awhile, got back, took a shower and then we got haircuts at our investigator's house. He's way good. We've been told he's the best in Thailand and I believe it. He did a way good job! Then we went to Doi Suthep. It's a mountain with a Buddhist temple at the top that is way cool, and has a lot of stuff that you can buy. It was fun just to be up there on top of the world. Tuesday we taught an investigator first thing in the morning and then had English planning. We tried to find some other investigators but didn't find them. We did our studies and went to district meeting and had lunch with a return missionary who fed us some Mexican food and it was really good. Then we met this way cool guy from Taiwan. He's Thai, but he was a foreign exchange student in Taiwan and he's going to go to Tennessee this next month. He's a really cool investig...
