Hello everybody!
Monday, we went to asoke and ran around Chinatown with Ronnie then he bought us lunch because it was my birthday week and it was really good. Then we got to back to bangnaa, and we had a family home evening together sending off a sister who is going to be a missionary in Thailand. The food was really good we had cake.
Tuesday we had a pretty สบาย day. Studies in the morning, and then lunch she district meeting. Being a district leader is honestly tons of fun. I love leading district meetings. They are straight fire. After that, we went to visit a new investigator whom we met last week. He is cool I guess. พอดี he had to run to the bank though so we couldn't really meet with him. We met with the member who reffered him instead. She is doing well. We are also trying to meet the guys daughter. That would be sick. Then we came back and taught นก who told us he would for sure to go to church on Sunday. Flash forward, he actually didn't come... :( even though we confirmed Saturday night and Sunday morning that he would come. Sad day... :/ then English and stuff. Good times.
Wednesday, We had switchoffs! Yay! It was so much fun haha. Elder Bird is straight fire. Such a cool guy. We spent the whole morning going to an investigators house and teaching them. They seem pretty cool. But they live way far away. So that is so sad. After that, we had lunch and stuff and studies. And visited with an RC who had a referral but then the referral ran away. Sad day. Then we taught a cool 10 yo dater of ours. He's cool. After that, we visited with a cool Cambodian LA family. They are nice. Hard for them to go to church though.
Thursday, we taught our investigator ปลื้ม she is about 19 and has as of yet not accepted s baptismal date but she is do close! She's so cool. Also, all of the ward leaders, the bishop, RSP, and the bishops wife all showed up out of the blue to help teach that lesson. I hope we didn't scare her too bad.... (we only asked the bishops wife to help because she is so homie and way nice haha) then weekly planning. Then we had a lesson with an investigator who is progressing kind of. She's nice. Haha then studies dinner and reading scriptures together. It was so fun. And then we taught our Chinese RC. It was a fun lesson haha.
Friday, we studied in the morning and then headed over to นนท์ our runaway bank investigator. He was busy selling food though, and ran off again. Sad day. But then we met with the member that works there. She's so awesome. Got to talk to her son who hasn't gone to church in like forever. And it was so cool to help ซ.บัว (the member) then we talked with some other members and bought their food and tried to be friends with them so they would give us referrals haha. And then we talked with a PI who we promptly dropped as well. She's not interested. Then we had a fun sports night and a couple of good lessons. I love hanging out with RCs. They are so full of fire and it makes me so happy to see.
Saturday, we tried to find an LA and his wife, but they are trying to run away from us as well. So that's fun. Then we went inviting and found 2 new investigators!! It was so fire! Then lunch, meeting an RC studies, and trying to hunt down other investigators. After that, we had a ผิดนัด at the church, taught a good lesson with some kids real quick and visited Manny. Our favorite Filipino man. He is so awesome.
Sunday was way good, per the norm. We had sacrament, regular meetings, correlation, met with an LA who came to church. He is so nice. We've visited him once. So cool. I was talking with a member after church who was his friend back in the day and he just said. Wow. He came back. You're doing good work elder. I was soooo happy haha.
My spiritual thought for the week. Is about Faith. We talked about it in district meeting the other day. I really like how Ether 12:6 describes it.
And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.
We talked about how trial also means experiment. And we talked about how we do experiments in high school, and how we need 3 or more trials. Faith works the same way. We don't get good results from the first try all the time! We need to work at it all the time!! I know when we do we will see miracles. And I know that Christ lives and looks over this work.
Hope everyone has a great week!!
Elder L
Also, I'm training this next transfer. So if you don't get an email next week, well, we didn't make it hahahaha
But seriously. Here we go . . .
