Free foods, moving peeps, and crazy guys

Hello everybody!! This week was way good. I love this ward and this place. Straight fire. Monday was a pretty ok day. We went to the local crocodile zoo/farm which was like my 3rd or 4th time going, so that was ok, but feeding crocs is always fun right?? Tuesday, we had studies, district meeting, and then because of an activity at the church, we did not have English class. So we taught nice lady whom we also dropped, met a crazy guy at the mall, ran out of time to video an English lesson, and then dinner with a member and a great teaching appt with a dater of ours. Wednesday, i had a switchoff with Elder hatch, one of the zone leaders. Hes a cool dude. It was a fun day. We tried to meet an investigator at work, but it was her day off, :/ and then we helped a member and her investigator friend sell rice ans food. Fun times. Then taught another sweet ol lady, dinner at IHOP, a lesson with จอย a humble man who sells Buddha statues, who is now a dater,  and then ...

zone conf, goodbyes, switch-offs, dedicating houses, the likes, busy week, blah blah blah, you've all heard it before

This week was fire. Yay. I like fire. To start off, Monday we had to say goodbye to Elder Sukyong. He is a great elder, and a magnificent teacher, and he really helped us out in Bangnaa, but it was time for him to go home. So its back to me and my son this week, เหมือนเดิม anyways, for pday we went to นครนายก a cool province, and had some fun times sightseeing. Pretty cool stuff. Tuesday, we had zone conference which was really fun. We were really inspired to make some good goals, work with members better, and really work hard to get the Thailand temple here!!!!!! So good. Then we had interviews, and I love President Hammond. His enthusiasm is really contagious. Then we had dinner, and English class. เย้ fun times. Wednesday, we went back to work after what felt like too many days of play with general conference, and pday and zone conference. It was also this day that we really came to the knowledge that we are once again just a duo, not a trio. Whole new dynam...

tales of a poor missionary. The one too lazy to write

Hello everybody!! I apologize for not writing last week, being in a trio can be exhasuting, and since last week was our last week as a trio, I may have taken too much of a break on pday hahaha, by not writing.... sorry about that, so here is a highlight email from the week I did not write, current week to come. Monday was pretty fun. In the morning, we played soccer with the elders in the district, and it was pretty fun. We played half court (half field) turning it into a basketball movement kind of soccer. It was really fun. Then we went to a cool natural island in the middle of Bangkok, and biked around a park, and did some site seeing. Closing out the night at the bishops house, and because of a colossal rainstorm, got home a little late. Like by an hour. oops... Tuesday, we had a normal district meeting Tuesday, studies in the morning, and then district meeting, and after that, a couple of appointments, one of the investies we actually had to drop... :( sad da...

Crunch time, switchoffs, and 11 yo baptisms

Hello everyone! Get ready for a short one, because I'm down to crunch time on my weekly once again. Monday was way fun! It was Elder Sukyong's birthday and also, we went and did paintball. It was super fun! Then we got back, had a great appt with an RC family, and then met with our WML who is SUCH a homie! Tuesday, studies, district meeting, proselyting, English class, preparing for switchoffs. Not much to report. Wednesday, I got to switch off with Elder Petterson. He is so cool, and in my MTC group. I've thought being companions with him would be cool, and now I got my wish! For one day. เย่ we spent a good day working, teaching an investigator who told us if she is converted she would marry me, and another Burmese dude that we don't understand the lesson because we just Skype the Burmese elders and they talk to him. It's fun though. Thursday, we had a lot of cancelled appts in the morning, studies and weekly planning and then a coup...

Soccer, rain, visas (oh no!)

Hello everybody! Monday was really fun! We spent the whole day playing some soccer and relaxing in the apartment. I was exhausted so it was s good day to take a break for a bit. That night we met with a crazy semi LAish last who's husband is crazy and MIA. So that was interesting. Tuesday, we had s normal Tuesday. Studies in the morning, district meeting, and worked in the afternoon. I'm back at training district meetings again. This week we talked about being consecrated missionaries and how the power really comes in our work when we give the Lord EVERYTHING we have to give. It's way good. After that, we had a couple cancelled appts that just got moved to Wednesday. So that was good. Then we had s fun English class where we talked about food! Hooray. Wednesday, just a full day of work. Way fun. Did all our studies in the morning, had lunch with an investigator where I scared a poor lady who thought I couldn't speak Thai, but I mean she kind of des...

transfers and trios, and gotta talk with everybody!

Hello everybody! Monday was a normal work day because we had transfers this week so pday was moved to Wednesday. It was also a switchoff day. I got to work with Elder Decker. It was a really fun day even if we didn't have very many appointments. So that's sick. He is really good at inviting and talking with people on the way to appts. We had a couple of missed appts, a good lunch at a members place, and then we had a great appt with our cute Cambodian family followed by a KFC dinner and inviting down a street that was full of bad stuff (well we found that out too late...) Tuesday, we had a pretty normal district meeting day. We studied in the morning, and then had the meeting, and lunch, and because our teaching pool is s little low, we hit the streets and contacted for a couple hours. We intended to try and find an LA, but no such luck. However we did find a cool PI, gave him a BoM and later this week we taught him the restoration! way sick. Then we had anoth...

finding, interviews, switchoffs, the grind? i wouldnt call it that, because its the best. well go with the "norm"

Hello everybody!! This week was not too exciting, because nothing super crazy happened, just more work, and love and all that good stuff. Monday, we headed to the beach as the elders in the district, and it was sooo much fun! We got to play frisbee on the beach, and hang out and stuff. It was so fun. After that, we had a great FHE with a potential investigator. It was way fun. Tuesday, we met with our old dude investigator, ดำรง who is bored of Buddhism, and wants to be Christian. So thats cool. Anyways, we had a scattered lesson on the gospel, explaining what we are expected to do to follow Christ, and then we sent him home. Then we had a quick lunch from 7-11, and after that, we had a quick district meeting, and then left for Asoke to do interviews, which went way behind schedule. So that was fun. It took the whole rest of the afternoon, and we barely made it to English class. But it was good, I got to see some old friends from the office, and president is so f...

The spirit, beach, and baptism!!!!

Hello everybody! Another week in the works. These weeks just get quicker and quicker all the time. I truly don't understand how it works. Monday was mission tour. Which meant every missionary in Bangkok went to the center of the city, Asoke and we met with Elder Homer the second counselor in the Area Asia Presidency. He's pretty straight fire. Basically blasted us for disobedience and then had a good workshop on finding the elect, and those prepared to hear the message of the restoration. It was cool. The spirit was with him. Powerfully. After that, we had s couple appts upon arriving home and that was good. Tuesday, we had s pretty normal day. Since we had mission tour, there was no district council. Just English planning for English class. Which was fun. We also went and saw an investigator we gave a BoM to, but feel like he's kind of losing the fire, and we said another guy, but he gave us the BoM back and said he read the whole thing (in 3 days) an...

Busy, inviting, and perfection

Hello everybody! What another great week. Monday was fun. We went to a super big small called MBK. It's like a mini Ninevah. Great and spacious everyone just wants your money. But if you know where to go and get, it can be fun stuff. Tuesday, normal stuff. Visited an LA an investigator by morning, and then we had district meeting, followed by some inviting and then finished studies and pretty soon it was time for English class again. Today was pretty fun. We talked about different areas of the world and my companion and I talked about Alaska. So we turned the AC all the way up and wore jackets and stuff. Fun ๆ Wednesday, we had a lot of inviting. We took care of all our studies in the morning and had lunch and then had the rest of the day ahead of us. And we had an appt that started and finished before we expected it to start, and then the next one fell through so boom! We had like 3 hours of open time that we spent just walking around and talking to peopl...
