baptism, switchoffs, and more hard work

Hello everybody! This week was one more week just working hard. Good week Monday, we had plans to go to a way cool Buddhist temple, but it turned out that it was too expensive for us to go in than we wanted, so we opted for a different cool one, and basically had a fun day running around some more touristy areas of Bangkok. In the evening, we had a ward wide family home evening, and it was fun. We talked about ways to help ourselves stay sane and stuff, and we talked at length about organizing houses, and being healthy. After that, what do we do but eat doughnuts after such an occasion. Haha Tuesday was Pioneer day. Pretty fun day. Pretty normal as well. Studies, a couple of appointments, district meeting, and English class. We celebrated an awesome missionary in our district who is the first person in her family to be a missionary. She is way fire. My district was also very kind and bought me a birthday cake. The day honestly flew by. Wednesday I got to switch of...

Zone conf, switchoffs and sports day, oh and BAPTISM!!!!

Hello everybody! This week was pretty great. Just as usual here in the Thailand. Monday was waaay laid back, which was actually really nice. All did was hang out. Pretty much haha. We got up the morning and went and emailed, and then had McDonald's for brunch, met up with the other elders and had more food and then we headed to some markets, looked around, looked at a wat, and that was pretty much it. Not bad though. After that, we headed to the church. And hung out some more. Then we tried to track down an LA without much success, but met up with the WML and he and his family are straight fire. Tuesday was pretty normal. Couple appts in the morning. Some made, some missed, and then we headed over to lunch and had a brief meeting at the church to practice a special musical number for zone conf and for English planning. Good stuff. Also lunch as s district so thst was fun. After that we had studies and stuff. Found a new investigator when we met with an RC, both of...

Wats, baptismal interviews and lunch

Hello everybody! This week was another great one in the giant city of Bangkok! We measured it the other day and from one end to the other, is about the equivalent of Pasco Washington to Hermiston Oregon. Or from Hayden Idaho (where my companion is from) to Spokane Washington. That's a long way! Monday was a way fun day! We spent the whole day running around this giant museum place called ancient city. It has scales of all the coolest wats in Thailand. ( วัด ) so we got some way cool pics snd got to bike all around the park. It was way fun! After that, we grabbed some dinner after a way crazy bus ride home and visited a little Cambodian LA family before we headed back to the house for the night. Tuesday was a pretty relaxing day. Not way crazy busy, just the usual district meeting in the afternoon and English class. The usual good stuffs. In the afternoon after out meeting we went s taught a super prepared super awesome lady named จำรุล (Jamrun) she is so awesome!...

Baptismal interviews, the ocean, and crazy LAs (just the norm)

Hello everybody! This week was the first full week in Bangnaa for me! And what am amazing place to be, this area is so good! I love it so much and I am so glad you be serving in Thailand! It's the best! Monday we had a pretty สบาย day. Not too much planned, not much to worry about. All we did was go pretty down south to the ocean. We got some good pictures, and then we had a nice seafood lunch. It was a little, ok really on the spendy side, but it was still way good. We kind of just wandered around that part of town for the day haha. After that, we finished up the day with a couple of sick lessons with investigators. We taught a guy named เบน (Ben) and he is way sick. He can't read but he's got some real potential. Tuesday was a great day as well. The morning was ok. We kind of just ran around town in the morning looking for two investigators that never showed up :/ but we got to tslk to some nice people around town so that was good too. It was good stuf...

transfered to บางนา, rain, and a new president!!!

Hello everybody! This week was another great one! Monday, we emailed in the morning, and then we went to a crocodile farm in the southern part of Bangkok, and it was way fun! I mean, its only so often that you get to feed crocodiles raw chicken, and hold a tiger right?? Tuesday was pretty busy. I actually don't remember all that went on, but it was a crazy day getting stuff ready for transfers, and all that stuff I'm sure.... Oh yeah, we studied in the morning, and then had district meeting, and then we visited a PI in the afternoon who sells little sweet things that are just so good. Gotta love the 1 baht scones. Then we had dinner, and English, and after that, we picked up the greenies from the airport!! So we ended up speeding over there, and back, and it was way fun flying down the road in the mission van. Anyways, they got in a little late, and so we got to bed at 3.30, and up at 6.30 that morning. Wednesday was a long day. I didn't feel the tired...

Weddings, Baptism, and switchoffs

Hello everybody! What another week at lightning speed... Monday was pretty darn fun. We went to this way cool Buddhist temple in the afternoon, and in the morning we emailed and had lunch with the WML here. He actually works in the mission office in translations. He is way cool. Anyways, it was a way fun day, we got some cool pics, and actually ran into a family that had come to church the day before as they toured Thailand. That was way fun. We finished the day teaching an investigator ( ดี ) and giving her a date! July 8th here we go! I just hope I stay in the area!!! Tuesday, we spent some time in the office in the morning, and made a trip to the post office to send a bunch of stuff off to missionaries all around the country. We actually got to send BoMs to people who live in places where there are no missionaries. It was way cool. After that, we had studies and lunch and district meeting. Same ol, same ol. After that, we tried to contact some investigators, but th...

errands, finding, and good ol missionary work

Hello everybody! This one was another for the books. Not to crazy, not to boring either. Monday, we went bowling for pday! It was pretty fun, except the other districts that had planned on coming bailed. So that was way sad.. But we had a good time still! Even though I didn't break 100 :/ Good times though, then we went to an aquarium, and decided that it was too expensive to go.. so that was too bad. We finished the night with an FHE at a fire members house! It was so much fun! And I am so sorry, I should be better about taking pictures at family home evenings, but I don't have a picture from that night. oh well... Tuesday was literally full of running around doing errands and stuff. In the morning, we had to get orders ready for the upcoming transfer, and then we had an office meeting that ended up going a little over time that expected. But it was good. We got a lot of information pounded out that was needed. After that, we grabbed what food we could before...

lost on the road, zone conference, and a whole lot of errands that office elders do

Hello everybody! This week was a busy one! Monday, we were up bright and early, and by that I mean, before it was even bright. We got in a train at 4 in the morning to go up north and visit some cool sites. We saw some sweet temples, and a nice sunrise from the train. Also, it was cool to see all of the crazy temples all over that province. Cool stuff. After that, we had FHE with a member in the ward which was waaay fun. Tuesday, we spent pretty much the whole morning in the office because we had some problems with submitting baptismal records. That was way sad. So we ended up having no appts in the morning. Then we grabbed some lunch, and sprinted over to the church to practice our musical number for zone conference, and then get English planned. After that, we got stuck in traffic getting the nametags for misisonaries and so that was exciting. After that, we went and studied real quick, and taught an exciting English class. Wednesday was zone conferece, and hone...

Frisbee, cars, and interviews

Hello everybody! This week was another great one here in Thailand! Monday was a pretty good day, pretty back and not much to really worry about which is way nice. We just cleaned the house in the morning, and then we played frisbee with the elders in the district in the afternoon. Which turned out to be sooo hot, so it didn't really last very long.. anyways, after that, we met up with the sisters and intended to go to this tower that's way tall and has a fruit buffet at the top, but that didn't happen :( it turns out it closes right as we showed, up and then opens two hours later. So sad... but it's ok, we made up for it by going and eating ice cream at a nap nearby. It was fun. The finish out the evening, we got some good ol office work done, taught (and dropped) :( an investigator and then finished up the night with more office work. Tuesday, well, was a Tuesday. We studied in the morning, followed by lunch, and then office work, then district me...
