errands, finding, and good ol missionary work

Hello everybody!

This one was another for the books. Not to crazy, not to boring either.

Monday, we went bowling for pday! It was pretty fun, except the other districts that had planned on coming bailed. So that was way sad.. But we had a good time still! Even though I didn't break 100 :/ Good times though, then we went to an aquarium, and decided that it was too expensive to go.. so that was too bad. We finished the night with an FHE at a fire members house! It was so much fun! And I am so sorry, I should be better about taking pictures at family home evenings, but I don't have a picture from that night. oh well...

Tuesday was literally full of running around doing errands and stuff. In the morning, we had to get orders ready for the upcoming transfer, and then we had an office meeting that ended up going a little over time that expected. But it was good. We got a lot of information pounded out that was needed. After that, we grabbed what food we could before finishing up a few things, and then going to our fire district meeting. It was so good. After that, we ran over to our laser friend, who etches all of our nametags for us, and we did our best to make some important phone calls on the way there. Then we rushed home and had some time for personal study, and then English class!! It was s ifre class, and then we had a great lesson with a new investigator! It was so good, and the whole day I just felt like we were sprinting from one thing to the next. Which is good, we were busy. But it wasn't the kind of work I wish we got to do. Office adventures I guess.

Wednesday, we got to the office first thing, and pounded out some baptismal records. Gotta love those things. Pretty important stuff. Then we had a video call planned, and that never happened, so we waiting a couple minutes, texted the guy, called a couple of times, and gave up on it. Getting people up int the morning can be a real pain sometimes haha. After that, we had a lunch with a  member who had a referral possibly for us, but then turns out he wants actually interested. So that was too bad. After that, we go some studies in, and then went hunting for some other referrals from another less active member. Then we had another less active member appointment, and they ผิดนัดed. Sad day. After a quick dinner, we headed over to an appointment with our dater, and her some. Such a good lesson. They are way fire and 100% being baptized.

Thursday, we studied, and did some records in the morning before going and grabbing some lunch. With a member. He is way cool, and it was way fun. Then we weekly planned in the afternoon, followed by an LA lesson, and another person that ผิดนัดed us. and then we finished with some inviting. (I actually don't remember exactly what happened, but all in all, it turned out to be a pretty slow day...)

Friday, we started out by going to a neighborhood we've had some recent success in, and we get there and neighborhood is right next to a Muslim mosque. And พอดีว่า it was the Muslim new year that day (according to the people we were inviting) so we found lots of people going to party and travel, but not too many interested... We actually lost a couple of investigators that morning. Then we found some food for lunch, and headed home to study. Pretty soon, we had an afternoon appointment with one of our RCs whom we are encouraging to prepare as much as she can to go to the temple. She's a little funny to work with. After that, we had language study, and then a baptism!!! It was so good!! Not a whole lot of people there, but the Spirit was there! After that, we taught another RC, and then grabbed some dinner, and taught ฝน's son, สุเทพ who has a date for the end of this month.

Saturday began stake conference weekend, and it was straight fire! In the morning, we taught and extended a date to an investigator we met this last week, and he is sooo sick! His name is แช่ว and he is so fire! After that, we went back to the same place as yesterday, and actually lost some more investigators... :( But then we ran over to an LAs house and he introduced us to his friend, and she is sooo awesome! She has such a strong desire to learn, and it is so awesome to see! They actually came to the evening session of stake conference! It was so good! After that, we ran home and had lunch and then studied, and after that we had a fun appointment with another RC who is going through some stuff that (I hope) we helped her with. Then we had stake conference!!!! SOOOOO FIRE! But I will save that for the spiritual thought. Then we had a date night with the APs for dinner after conference at Carl's Jr. haha

Sunday was the second day of conference, and it was just as full of fire!!! SO GOOD! That morning, we met with an LA in the morning, and then from 10-12 we had conference, and after that we had a baptism from the APs and that was soooo cool!!! Then we met with some LAs in the afternoon, and after that, we studied, grabbed what lunch we could find, and then taught ฝน and สุเทพ. They are so awesome! I can't wait for them to be baptized! Then we finished the night with some office work. Pretty good week.

My spiritual thought comes from conference. It was seriously so good. There was a clear theme on charity, love, and ministering in the way that President Nelson introduced in the last conference. And it was so good! We had a couple RMs share experiences about where they learned about Christ's love for us all, and how truly important the atonement is. And so the scriptures I want to share today come from one of these talks, and I am sure they have been shared before, but I'm sharing them again. They are from the BoM.

45 And acharity suffereth long, and is bkind, and cenviethnot, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily dprovoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

46 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail—

47 But acharity is the pure blove of Christ, and it endureth cforever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.

48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, apray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true bfollowers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall cbe like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be dpurified even as he is pure. Amen.

I especially want to focus on verse 46. I had a pretty distinct impression, and it was said several times throughout the conference that none of this matters if we do not have love in the work. We need to have love FIRST. When that comes first, then we can really be an influence. But we do not, the spirit will not be with us. I know Christ loves us more than we know, and He gave his all for us.

Have a great week!!
