June 17-23

Hello Everyone, This last Monday was really fun. I enjoyed it quite a bit. We got up early in the morning and went mtn biking. There is a member who knows a lot of mountain biking trails near his house and he's offered before to take us. Our bikes got super muddy, super dirty, but it was worth it. Around noon we got done biking, went to his house and he fed us some lunch. And then we washed off in this cool waterfall. Then we headed home, showered and did our weeklies. For the evening Sis. Whale (the lady that we baptized last transfer) invited us and the sisters over to her house to have a family home evening activity with all of her family. The sisters are teaching her daughter. We spent some time inviting before that. It was a really fun evening. If you had told me on the train on the way here that I would baptize someone and then I would find myself at their house and the daughter's getting taught. I probably would've believe you because I was ready to go to work and u...

June 10-15

Dear Friends and Family, We are down tot he wire here!! One week  from today Ethan will be home! The day that would never come is coming. Our house is 85% repaired from the floods and somehow I will get his last few letters transcribed and out before he's home. :) Thanks for your love and support! He's speaking in church  on July 14th at 1 pm (820 S Buntin St) for anyone who would like to come. Hello Everyone, It's  June 10th to June 16th ! It's already June. Time seems to go by so fast and then it seems like sometimes it doesn't.  Monday we had a fun p-day. We went with some members to go see a cool cliff. There was supposed to be a waterfall but it was really dry so there was no water, but it was a cool cliff. Then we went to this other beach-y place and got some cool pictures, some good food, and then we headed home. It was a good day. In the evening we went to go see Noon, which means one. He's about 17 and he's your normal less active kid. He's a g...

June 3-9

Hello Everyone, Monday was a interesting p-day just because we didn't really do a lot.We got up in the morning, used some time to send emails and then we went over to the other elders house that we're supposed to close and we cleaned it up and cleared all this stuff out of it. We got the beds and some other stuff out of there, it was crazy and fun. Exciting. Then we got some lunch and went to Central, the big mall out here, bought some stuff and got some ice cream with the sisters. And then we came back to the house and got ready. And that was pretty much everything that happened that day. A big long day of cleaning up the house. But it was fun. That evening we had a YSA fireside, FHE kind of deal. We all went to this big ice cream shop and shared some thoughts together and it was actually way, way good. The elder's quorum present here, Bro. Bank, is super awesome. He did a good job. It was a good activity. Fun. Tuesday we got up and went to visit an investigator named The...

May 27-June 2

Hello Everyone, This week was kind of a long week. I'm so tired today. Last Monday we had a switch off. I was with Elder Freese who's way funny. He's been here for a long time now and he doesn't speak the language super well. He pretty has a pretty good attitude about it and he's way fun to work with and get along with.  in the morning we taught this super drunk guy named Dia, which means short. After spending some time with him we were inviting for a way long time in that neighborhood trying to find another guy named Soap, which means fresh. We spent a lot of time biking and inviting until lunch. We had some way good food. We did our studies at the church as well as we had to get some stuff done for the sisters, which included putting some audio files on an SD card for an investigator a bunch of other errand-y stuff. After that we had a teaching appointment with an investigator that Elder Freese actually taught for a long time when he was in a trio in the city...

May 20-26

Hello Everyone, This is the week of May 20th to the 26th. We had a zone conference on Monday!  So we got up in the morning in a hotel. We went to a park, got there really early and played some basketball with the members and some other missionaries. Super fun. After that we got some breakfast and went to the church for zone conference. We had some really good training on teaching and getting people to church. After lunch we had interviews with president, which was fantastic because president is really good. I really like president. Then we got on a bus and went back to the old area. We grabbed some dinner with the sisters so that we could prepare for English class the next day. After that we just invited and walked home. We found a nice guy who is interested in going to English. That was a good day. The next morning we went to a member's house who is less active old and kind of forgetting everything; I guess kind of your typical, very less active man. It took a while to get over t...

May 13-19

Hello Everybody! All right. This is the week of May 13th, to May 19th. For p day today we went and rode some elephants finally. Yay! It's the first time I've been able to finally ride an elephant bareback and it was super fun. But it very stressful because the members that wanted to go with us kind of took over the trip and we didn't really get a say in what was going on like we wanted to and that was kind of annoying because the members don't have a time constraint, like we do. We have to get home at a certain time and so fighting to get home on time is always super annoying. Anyways, after our fun excursion, we get back at about five and this is kind of where stuff starts to happen. We got back and I started getting ready to go to work. I was already dressed in missionary clothes. My companion, he takes his stuff and he throws it all in the laundry and I didn't really realize what was going on until it was too late and realized he had thrown all his clothes in th...

May 6th - May 12th

This is May 6th to May 12th. For pday this week...the elders slept over at our house, so we had some fun that morning, played some basketball, got some haircuts, got some good food... white person Mexican food. :) Then we went to this temple thing with a waterfall and a fun water park that we couldn't take part in, but it looked fun. Then after that we came home and got ready for the rest of the day. In the evening we spent some time at a Mugatat, a big restaurant, and had a YSA kind of FHE activity. Before that we taught our investigator, she's so good. We taught her the gospel and the word of wisdom and committed her to live the word of wisdom. She said that coffee's going to be really hard because she drinks coffee every day. But she says that she's going to quit by the end of this week and she's doing really good. Tuesday we got up and we went to our RC's place where he is working. We reviewed what we talked about last week and my companion kind of went off...

April 29th-May 5th

We've had some problematic things here at home... namely a flood. Lots of mess and lots of repairs and it's just a little hairy around here and I'm behind again!! Anyhow, onward. :) Dear Everyone, This is the week of April 29th to May 5th. May 5th, 22 months! Here we go. Last p day.... What did we do? We got up in the morning at five o'clock to be exact and we went fishing for like three hours. We didn't catch anything except for the fishes that we kind of stole out of another man's net before we realized that it was a net put there intentionally. Oops. After that we came back to the house and we talked to family for a long time and then we headed over to a restaurant called the Outside Inn and it is actually a hotel. So it's a play on words Outside Inn, Outside I-n-n... fun. Also on p day we got a new desk. So I have a study desk now that I can study on. I fixed my bike so my bike's all fixed up and now I can ride it really well. Elder Milang washed h...
