Our house is 85% repaired from the floods and somehow I will get his last few letters transcribed and out before he's home. :) Thanks for your love and support! He's speaking in church on July 14th at 1 pm(820 S Buntin St) for anyone who would like to come.

Hello Everyone,

It's
June 10th to June 16th! It's already June. Time seems to go by so fast and then it seems like sometimes it doesn't. Mondaywe had a fun p-day. We went with some members to go see a cool cliff. There was supposed to be a waterfall but it was really dry so there was no water, but it was a cool cliff. Then we went to this other beach-y place and got some cool pictures, some good food, and then we headed home. It was a good day. In the evening we went to go see Noon, which means one. He's about 17 and he's your normal less active kid. He's a good kid. We spent a while there talking about how his day went and such. Then we went and we saw our drunk investigator friend who said we should come back Wednesday. We went inviting and I talked to a cool guy and found some other cool people inviting around the park.
Tuesdaywe went and saw a man named Anun. He's a nice guy, not super interested in the gospel, however, sad day. We also went to go see a coffee seller that we met earlier. He's a cool guy, but wasn't at his shop. We suddenly found ourselves with a lot of open time which means we went inviting. We went to the mall only to find out the mall doesn't open until a lot later. So we got there and I sat next to this guy who had just flown in from Bangkok. He actually lives right next to one of my old areas, Bangnaa. He was a cool guy. He was really interested in English class and we talked for a long time just because there was no one at the mall out in the front. Like sometimes, you know, there's people that sit out front and we get to talk to them. He was one of maybe five people. After that we headed to the church, took care of some stuff, got some lunch, did some inviting. We taught this old lady who talks a whole lot. She really likes to talk. :)

Wednesday we called our farm lady and asked if we could come serve her. We helped her a lot in the morning and were there for a couple of hours. Then we went home, studied, showered and left to go visit our drunk man's friend's place and he wasn’t there. We invited on the way back home and then got our bags packed and headed over to the bus station so we could go to Roi Et for zone conference. We took a bus over to Roi Et and I wrote in my journal and got all caught up on that during the bus ride. When we got there we grabbed some dinner and then we had joker's meeting, which is the meeting for missionaries that are going to finish their mission soon, which interestingly enough was exactly a month away from when we go home. It was fun. We mostly just talked about dating and how we should date when we go home. That was it. It was good.

On Thursday we had our zone conference so we had our normal meetings that morning and it was really good. We talked a lot about finding and working with members. After zone conference was over we had a great lunch and we played a little volleyball because there were some members playing volleyball at the church. That was really fun. Then the zone leaders had everyone switch off and go out and work while we waited for interviews. Elder Todd, Elder Milang and I all went off to see a less active member who wasn't at home, so we visited a different less active member and talked with some people. It was good. After that we had a Thai class where we taught some white people. That was fun. We had interviews and during my interview with President Hammond I got my temple recommend renewed. :) Then we came home. Elder Freeze and I talked on the way home and we got in at about midnight and got to our house about 1:30 am. We just jumped into bed because we were too tired to shower or care or anything.

Friday we went to Sis. Tepe's house (recent convert) to give her some encouragement and she fed us some good food. She's a little down on her finances. After that we printed some pictures out and got some papers ready for the board we're making and we tried to find our coffee man but he wasn't at his shop. We grabbed some lunch and then saw an LA, Bro.Olay. He's really nice; always lets us in the door. But also never does anything after we leave which is kind of sad. I want him to open up a little more. He's a nice guy though. After that we had some time for studies and a little bit of inviting time. But that actually turned into us printing papers. We're making a board on the Book of Mormon and we are printing papers with questions of the soul such as, "Is there life after death? Why do I have to be baptized? Can I be forgiven of my sins?" etc. We spent a long time in there typing. I didn't realize it would take so long. The formatting took the most time. Getting the formatting right and making sure everything was all the right size so that when the pages flip open everything is all in the right spots took some time. That was fun to figure it out. After that we went to find a family but they weren't there. Later we had sports night and because Elder Freeze and I cleaned the bathrooms after zone conference, President Hammond had given us some pizza money. So we went and ate some pizza with the district and had a fun after sports night. We also taught a member, Bro. Poom who is like my favorite member here just because he's comfortable in his own skin. He's a good guy. We just talked about the temple briefly because we didn't have very much time at that point.

Saturday... Happy birthday to Mom! In the morning we went over to this rice field where we have a friend and he wasn't there unfortunately. On our way to the rice fields where our investigator had previously been, there is a man that we've previously talked to and he yelled at us and he said, "Hey, where are you going? How are you doing?" It's the way people yell at white people here, which is fun. The backstory behind this guy is we had previously talked to him and asked him, “Is there anything we can do to help you? We're volunteers. We we come and teach about Jesus Christ, but we can help with anything you need. We do physical labor or whatever.” So he was saying, "Hey, I got something for you today!" But we thought he was messing with us. So we kept biking and I said, "We'll come back another day." Then that other appointment pit-nodded or fell through because the guy wasn't there. We decided to go back and see that guy. He said they were hauling wood and needed our help. And so here we are in our white shirts and ties and we said, "All right, what have you got?" So he has this orchard across the street that he had recently cut down because neighbors were complaining about the branches falling off and falling on people's houses and stuff. They were cutting it all down and hauling it away and selling it to this furniture company. So we jumped in with the hired people and helped haul away some wood. Then they were saying, oh, stop, stop, you're going to get your clothes all dirty, we don't want you to get hurt. We said, it's fine. Don't worry about it. It was really funny and totally fine. After a bit we left and he gave us some water, typical Thai person kindness. Thai people are super nice. So then we invited a little bit and went home. We studied at home and it was really fun to do a four way companionship study. We all spoke Thai and Elder Milang spoke English. We got some food and then we took some time to clean the church because members don't really do it here. I was going to practice piano because I wasn't sure yet if I would have to play on Sunday. In the end I actually didn't have time to do that. We just cleaned up the church and then we were getting our poster ready. In fact we didn't even have time to do our weekly planning session that we were going to do. We spent our time making the poster pretty because the sisters thought that a simple board with cards on it wasn't enough. So we had to make some flowers and all this other stuff. And then sadly all of our appointments proceeded to fall through for the rest of the day. This is how it went. We finally left the church finally a little after 4 and went over to a PI's place. He was not there. We went over to another investigator's house who also isn't there. He had moved previously and so we were going to try and talk to his grandkids and find out where he went. No one was home. His phone number didn‘t work, couldn't find him. We went back and our PI was still not home. We went to a different investigator's house, this grandma lady and we said, Hey, how you doing? Are you home? At the time she was busy chewing out her grandchild and so we're like, oh shoot. Luckily a member called us and earlier they had borrowed keys and they wanted us to come back to the church and get our keys back. That was just perfect timing. And so of course we went back for the keys. Then we ran back to the grandma's house. Luckily she had finished chewing out her grand daughter. We asked, hey how are you doing? What's going on? And she just said, “Today I'm not free to talk. I'm busy moving stuff inside my house.” Of course, being the elders we are, we said, “Can we help you move some stuff? Can we help you move your boxes? And she said, nope, it's all good. I don't need your help. Earlier we had so many appointments that we didn't have time for dinner but now we had some time so we ate. After dinner we went to try and find this recent convert who had previously sold rice at a market next to our house with his buddy. We went there, the buddy said, I haven't seen him all day. I don't know where he's been. So we said all right, well maybe he's at home. So we ran to his home. His mom said, oh, he just left, I'm sure he's going to go sell rice at the market. And we thought, well, we were just there, how did we miss him? Oh my goodness. We ran back to the market, his buddy said, yeah, I haven't seen him. I don't know where he is. Well shoot. So we called him. We were trying to find him because if he's lying to his mom, he's probably gonna go drink some alcohol, or something. We couldn’t get a hold of him, dang it. After that we had planned to stop in on this family who is incredibly hard to get ahold of. I've tried to make an appointment at their house a lot, so we just keep going by their house at night because they sell stuff during the day. We hope that if we go by at night that they'll be home and we can talk to them. But as of yet we haven't been able to get an appointment at night. We just kind of keep running by.  They're pretty active. But we are trying to meet with everyone in the ward . So we went inviting in a park that we invite at often and I was exhausted.

Sunday we went to the church first thing and I ran through the sacrament songs  because it was a 50/50  chance that I'd have to play. Then the guy that was way sick in the hospital came in and thanked me for playing the last couple of weeks. He's better now and he played. He's an excellent piano player and plays at a hotel here nearby. Church was good, then we had lunch and helped wash dishes. We went to go see a less active member named Oon, which means fat. He’s a nice guy, I really like him. He wasn’t home. We tried to find our family from the previous night and once again, not home. We went back and found this really nice lady who likes to talk to us. It turns out her friend lives right next to a restaurant that we frequent. So she's seen us a lot, which was kind of funny. Then we went to the church and got our booth ready and it was super crowded. There were a lot of members there. After that we invited some more and I was just frustrated with our lack of success. This week we've seen zeroes all across the board for our key indicators. It was okay I guess, but frustrating.

My spiritual thought for this week is about having a prophet. I really like how many times in the scriptures it says the words of the prophets will be fulfilled, and then it happens. Specifically related to Christ’s birth, all the things they said would happen, happened. The prophet is right. So we should follow the prophet! I like how plainly we can see that in the scriptures. That’s it for the week, over and out. Elder L
