Dear Friends and Family, you'll notice Elder Ellsworth mentions he's on top of things now and caught up with his emails. That means I'm now behind in sending them. :) Thanks for being patient... with both of us. :)

Hello Everybody!

Alright, we're on top of things now, I am caught up! So last Monday we got up in the morning, had some cinnamon rolls and went to the Chiang Mai zoo and that was really fun. We actually just spent a lot of time in the aquarium, like A LOT of time in the aquarium. And that was kind of most of it. But we saw the only rhinoceros in Thailand, which is in Chiang Mai, which was really cool (there is some dispute as to whether this is the only rhinoceros in Thailand, but that's what the sign said). It was fun. After that we had some food and then in the evening we taught Pohn. He's just progressing way nice. We watched the Joseph Smith video with him. And he's ready to be baptized. Then we went and visited another less active family and tried to help them and their son, especially since the son is kind of being a knucklehead.

Tuesday morning we went inviting. We tried to go to a college, but all of the colleges are done with the semester, so there was no one there. So we walked around some neighborhoods and found a lot of old people. We also found this way cool kid that was working out in front of a hotel and we taught him and got a return appointment. Then we did our studies and we went to KFC for lunch. After we ate we were standing outside waiting for an investor to show up. We met a man named Julian Bliss who, it turns out, is some LA dude from a very long time ago. We had a very nice conversation about how all mass violence comes from eating meat and so we should not eat meat. It was interesting and it was kind of cool I guess. Then we went to district meeting and after district meeting we did some phone calls, had some dinner, did a lot of English planning and had a fun English class.

Wednesday we had switch off plans but the switch off did not happen. So Wednesday morning we went inviting and talked to a lot of people. We met a couple of recent converts and got a couple of referrals and that was a good morning. Then we taught another guy at a mall, came home and did some studies. We met another RC trying to get his baptism record fixed and then we tried to teach another investigator, but she wasn't there so we did some inviting instead. Then taught Pohn, our super cool investigator, and got some food.

On Thursday we set out early in the morning to go and try and find this RC couple, but we got over to their neighborhood and someone said they moved and so we left. It turns out though, we talked to them on Sunday and they did not move and they were there. We went back to the church, met an investigator of ours and then we had some personal study, some language study and got some food. Then we tried to go and contact a friend of an RC. And so what happened goes something like this. We get to the RC's shop and he's not ready yet. We asked if there is anyone that sells shoes around here? And this lady refers us to this department store (because the referral sells shoes at the department store). So we go to this department store and we're like, no, this can't be it; it's gotta be a side shop. So we go back and there's another lady by this department store that sells shoes also. She also knows the RC, Dan. So we talked to her and she is not the one. So we go back to the first lady that we talked to and we try to find out what's going on with her. It turns out she's Christian already and believes the Bible and  we think this is the one. But then Dan finally shows up and he's like, no, no, no. These are not the people I was talking about. And then we go back to the department store where we were at first, thinking it was not the right place and apparently the referral is there at the department store. Fun stuff. Then we did some weekly planning, some more inviting and finished the day with a birthday party for a member with a lot, a lot of food. It was really good.

Friday morning we visited an LA Family who makes spring rolls and we helped them make their spring rolls. It was really fun. We came back, taught this kid at a college, got some more food, did some studies and taught a couple more investigators. There's not much really to report on except we talked to some more people and it was good.

Saturday we met this dude, went to a college to meet with someone else and then met another guy at the church. We had some lunch and we did some finding. There's this one guy that just talked our ear off. We talked for a long, long time. Then we taught another guy who didn't have very much time to meet, but he was really cool. We had correlation meeting that was actually canceled so we didn't go. We had a fire lesson with Pohn who is our dater. He's really awesome and way good.

Sunday, no one showed up for church except for the important people, it's good they were there? After church we studied, ate lunch, had an appointment fall through and taught someone that was not super into it, but she is also a girl so it was kind of awkward. And then we did some inviting. We tried to teach this one guy but he was not free. So we went to a mall and invited some people at the mall. Later we brought the sister's to an investigator. Then the greatest event of this last week was when we went to this family's house that we found, and we taught this family. The dad is so cool! Our lesson was all about Paul. We're really excited to teach them. The dad knows a lot of stuff about the Bible. After that we had this way good discussion with another family who is kind of struggling with some legal things and we brought in the relief society president. Then things just went way well with them. It was a really good week.

Mosiah 3:13

13 And the Lord God hath sent his holy prophets among all the children of men, to declare these things to every kindred, nation, and tongue, that thereby whosoever should believe that Christ should come, the same might receive remission of their sins, and rejoice with exceedingly great joy, even as though he had already come among them.

At the beginning of my mission, I felt as though there wasn't very many verses that described the role of a prophet but I have found later that there are soooo many. This is one of my favorites. It's way fire. When we have faith in the prophets, real faith, true faith, then we can see miracles and feel the joy that the Lord wants to give us. I know he loves us, and is at the head of this work!!

Over and out.
