Hello everybody!!
This week was pretty awesome! We had a miracle in our numbers turn out this week, well until we go to Sunday and none of our investigators showed up on time, but that just means that we will have a ton come next week right?? I'm way pumped though because we finally have some daters to work with!!! Let's go!ð♂️ð♂️
Monday was pretty chill (āļŠāļāļēāļĒāđ) we had not much to do besides email and go to the church to sit and hang out there... a little boring too, but I mean it was nice to take it easy for a day too! And it was there we experienced our first miracle! A random guy walked into the church saying that some sister missionaries whom he took to the train station a little bit ago (he's a taxi driver) told him to come and check out the church. And so, it worked out perfectly that we were there! We sat down and taught him the restoration, and fast forward a couple of days, he's got a date for later this month!!! Let's go!!!!
Tuesday, we had interviews with President Johnson. He is the best. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve under him. I'm pretty sure I say this everytime I mention him, but he really will be the next apostle, I know it!!! He's so good! Anyways, because we had interviews that day, district meeting was in the morning instead of the afternoon, so that changes things a little bit especially since we got that call Monday afternoon haha. But it was a good day nonetheless. After district meeting and interviews, we set out to teach āļāļēāļāļัāļĒ our new investigator from a couple weeks ago. He's way down to learn, but his mom is kind of eh, and well she's also way old, there's I guess there's not many things she really cares about at this point. One of those being, changing her life. After that, we headed back to the church to meet with an LA and then eat dinner. Then English class! It was way fun! Our companioship had the spiritual thought at the end, and it was waaaay powerful. For me anyway. I could really feel the spirit as I testified of God being our loving Heavenly Father. It was awesome. After that, we had a good lesson with one of our investigators who is progressing slowly, but he's a way nice guy.
Wednesday, it poured rain in the morning, and we conveniently had to weekly plan then, so we went ahead and waited out the storm and planned. I love the smell of rain. It's such good stuff. Anyways, after that, we went and studied, and got out to work. Our appointment for the afternoon āļิāļāļัāļed on us unfortunately, and so we went fishing (inviting) for a bit until our appointment at the church. Then, we had a great LA lesson with a former stake president and a laxy we are working with. āļāļĢāļ°āļāļēāļ āļิāļ (the stake president) is absolute fire and gave a way good analogy on how renewing our covenant on Sundays (sacrament) is like paying into our phone contract. If we never send money in (renew our contract) then we can't use the phone. Same thing happens with our spiritual selves. We have to take care of ourselves and make sure to keep our spirit up and running by taking the sacrament every week. Then we had a great BoM class. Good times. After that we had a fire lesson!!! We had it with an excited RC, two investigators and a former investigator as well. But all went ok, we got those two investigators dates for baptism!!! Awesome!
Thursday, was the first day of February! Weird stuff. So anyways, we got out the door first thing this morning. We went FBI finding, for an LA family on our records. It's fun stuff. Unfortunately, we got there and found that they may have moved from that house. Anyways, after that we made our way home and then studied. After that, we went finding for a bit because of a āļิāļāļัāļ and found a random guy under a bridge that we revisited on Saturday as well, with his friend. We will probably start teaching them later this week. Cool stuff. After that we got over to the church and had some dinner and met with some peeps, who were a little late, and another threw a wrench in the gears, but it worked out ok, we talked to the WML real quick and then headed out to visit another LA. It was pretty good. All in all, it was a good day, even if it doesn't sound too exciting , because we kept pretty busy and so that was great.
Friday, I got to switch off with Elder Eckersly!! It was, way fun. He is in his second transfer and being trained by Elder Hunt the district leader. It was an awesome day. It was so much fun to run around āļāļēāļāđāļ with someone who has so much enthusiasm to go out and got some work done. He is an awesome missionary. Anyways, we started out the day with some studies, since all of the appointments that we had were in the afternoon. Then we set out after a delicious lunch. We both got a huge plate of food because we were way hungry. Anyways, then we went inviting for a bit. It was fun stuff. We met some cool people, found a few PIs we will meet with next week and just had a fun afternoon walking around talking with cool peeps. After that, we had a āļิāļāļัāļ because our investigator was sick. Sad day. Oh well. We then headed to the church, and made some phone calls and prepared for our next appointments. After that, we invited for a bit and then taught the family of an RC, and handed out two more dates!!! It was a way good lesson on the plan of salvation. After that, we hurried over for a super brief lesson with our other dater, and then hurried over to the church only to find the next appointment āļิāļāļัāļed us. But we had a super cool tender mercy getting there! We were trying to get the church and could not find a free taxi for the life of us. So then Elder Eckersly says we should say a prayer. And so we do. Not 5 seconds later a free taxi rolls around the corner!!! It was so awesome!! Anyways, that was pretty much the night. We taught an LA, ate some dinner, and then headed home.
Saturday, we got up, did some personal study and then had a fire lesson with a stellar guy who has really been prepared. The way we met this guy in the first place is we have a member who told us that he (the member) has a friend who is looking for the true church. As so we were like yeah we can help you out with that for sure! It was a fun lesson. He was way intent on learning, and before we started, we sang some songs together, one in Thai and Amazing Grace in English. It was fun stuff. After the lesson he and his family were kind enough to give us a ride home since they were headed in the same direction. Road trip! After that, we grabbed some lunch, and then taught another investigator, whom we have a date to!!!! We are way pumped!! That's a total of 5 daters this week!!!!ð♂️ð♂️☺ð After that, we met with our man under the bridge, and his buddy, and set an appointment for next week. After that, we invited our way to our next appointment, and then to the church for another one. Then home. Nothing too exciting after our dater lesson.
Sunday, we watched our progress with numbers hit their low when we had no investigators show up to church on time. So sad day for sure, but we did have some show up in the end! Also, the ZLs had a baptism this afternoon and so they got to stay for that too! It was way good. After that, we had lunch together, which was delicious as normal, and then we helped clean up and left to go and find the PI that Elder Eck and I found on Friday. He's a way cool guy that makes life size statues out of silicone and sells them for 40,000฿. But he was real busy and so he said if we came back on Tuesday or Wednesday, that would be better. So we will see where that goes. After that, we wandered around some, talked with some peeps, and then walked home. I've really come to enjoy walking around town and being among the people. It's really fun stuff. After that, we had an evening of follow up calls, dinner, and studies. Good times. Numbers were great this week. I was way happy. Our work is showing some progression.

...But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance.
I have come to know with greater faith, and more experiences that this is sooo true. I also treasure these words from President Thomas S. Monson
It is the Lord’s work, and when we are on the Lord’s errand, we are entitled to the Lord’s help. Remember that the Lord will shape the back to bear the burden placed upon it.

I testify that is true. 100% there will be hard days. But not so hard that you can't get through them. The Lord knows us, and so if we will seek out those tender mercies every day, the Lord will surely make them manifest to us. I have taken up a habit of writing them down everytime I see them, in my planner. I am so grateful for a family back home who loves me and parents who care for a watch out for me, but even more than that (which is a lot) I am grateful for a Father in Heaven who loves me and knows me and wants the best for me. I'm so grateful for the guidance and strength He gives me every single day. It is such a blessing to me. I know he lives, and loves us as his children more than words can describe.
