A few weeks before Christmas and all through the country, it's still like 70° F everyday

Hello everybody!!!

This week was great and always, it's great to be in Thailand!!:)

So last Monday we went and got suits cut after emailing. They aren't finished yet, but pictures will come soon. Mine is a nice blue and has a nice red holly pattern on the inside, perfect for Christmas!! Buying all the fabric and getting the cuts costs about $95 so it's pretty sweet stuff.

Tuesday, we had no district meeting on account of zone conference on Wednesday. Add that and the fact that we had a lot of พิดนัดs made for a disappointing day. We walked around a lot and tried to find people to teach, but not much luck... We got to serve some peeps  though! Also after teaching English that night, we got s new investigator! So don't give up! If you just keep working at it, miracles can happen!! Don't quit early!

Wednesday, we had a waayyyy fun Christmas zone conference. It was way awesome. We started the day off with a bunch of milk and cookies and watching the best 2 years. It was way fun. That movie is all too accurate haha. After that we had some excellent training from president Johnson on the Christmas spirit. If you read in Matthew chapter 2:17-21 you can find out 4 ways to celebrate Christmas no matter where you are in the world. After that we played some games had a real Christmas dinner for lunch with ham and potatoes and everything. Then we finished out the night with some training.

Thursday, we planned, on smartphones! Wow that was weird. After planning Thursday, we went and visited with one of our investigators who is super humble and awesome and works at KFC. He is great. After that we went and wandered talking to people before we met with a member in the evening and got a new investigator!! So that was cool.

Friday, we had a ผิดนัด in the morning and then had lunch. We got a good investigator referral in the afternoon too. She's about the sassiest Thai lady that I know, but it's way fun to teach her. After that it was sports night at the church and now one was there... we had a total of 9 people there including 6 missionaries. It was fun, we made the best of it  and taught them how to play bump. It was fun.

Saturday, we taught an FI that was just waiting for elder bunker to leave before we taught her further, so that was an interesting lesson.  After that we went to a big mall called central to wait for some investigators so we could teach them there. But they never showed up.... So that was too bad. We did meet s crazy lady that spoke Thai, English and Mandarin though. She knows about the missionaries somehow. She told us that we need to evangelize her mom because we have a gift from God and can speak Thai! Her mother speaks Thai and Mandarin and is not religious at all. Evangelize her! After that we had a couple more appointments and taught with the bishop as well. He is so good. He has a fire testimony.

Sunday was pretty good, and not to exciting except for one thing. A transformer blew in the morning and so the church had no AC, lights, microphone, organ, or wifi. So we opened the windows in the chapel and had a nice breeze going thru the sacrament room for the first half of the meeting. Lots of fun. After that it was pretty normal. A couple of teaching appointments and dinner at the bishops house to finish out the day.

Spiritual thought from the week comes from priesthood meeting on Sunday. Brother สากร bore his testimony on priesthood blessings. He told all the melchizedek priesthood about how we (the elders) came and gave him a blessing and did he could heal quickly and come to church again. It was incredible. He crashed on his motorcycle 2 weeks ago, and was at church last week and has like 90% range of motion now. He's healing soooo fast. He's in his late 50s. It's way good. And so I have this verse:
Ether 12:12 For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith.
This is so true. When you combine the power of God, his priesthood, which I testify has been restored in this day and age, and the unshakable faith of someone like brother สากร, miracles truly can happen. It's incredible stuff. With faith, ALL things are possible!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a great week!!!!!!
