one more pday in the MTC!!!!!

Hello everybody!!!

This week has been real crazy for sure!! Here in the MTC, days feel like years, and weeks feel like hours. It's an interesting concept for sure, but we just keep trucking forward! Thailand, here we come!!

Last Tuesday, our devotional was alot about prayer. He bore powerful testimony on why prayer is so important, and how it can help us so much. It was incredible.Wednesday began yet another week in the MTC. We studied, and studied, and studied some more. Are you sensing a theme here? Anyways, we had a great lesson too, on prayer, and how important it is. It's so cool to think about how much we can share in Thai now, and how the spirit can really bear witness of what you say even when you're not sure what is all coming out of your mouth. Also, we got 27 new elders in our zone, and 2 new sisters, so we now have 80 some odd missionaries in our zone. It makes for a crowded sacrament meeting, but its good stuff. All the elders are all on the top floor of the same building too, so we have plenty of fun there. It's great.Thursday was a typical MTC day.Friday, we had service in the morning. I mean free labor, since all we do it clean our own building haha, but it's all good. Also, that evening we skyped a member in Thailand, and taught and discussed the importance of the restoration. It was so cool! WE TAUGHT TO A REAL THAI PERSON IN THAI. Very exciting to say the least. Next week will be even better too. I can't wait, and to get to Thailand too. It's legit.

Saturday was great. Class and lessons, and exercise in the evening. I like having exercise in the evening on Saturdays, I get to decompress and run out an anxiety over the past week by running intervals across the field we can exercise on. It's good stuff. Also, I made a goal to do 100 pushups and 20+ pullups everyday for the next 2 years, so we will see how that goes down. I'm 100% this week anyway.

Sunday was great as ever. It's always great to relax a little and just take a rest. It's just a great recharge for the week. Our devo this week was with Kenneth Cope who has composed tons of efy songs. He shared lots of stories, and sang and it was good stuff. He is super talented and has a firm testimony. He sang "More" which is pretty much my favorite efy song. It's great.

Monday, I was asleep in class for about 45 min..... So I have something to work on this week, because falling asleep because it's a fairly regular occurrence, but not always for 45 min. Usually shorter.

This morning, our district all got up and went to the temple together to do sealings with Brother Sugihara, and met his wife. It was tons of fun, and the cafeteria in the temple makes the best food ever!!!! Next week we'll be sure to grab a picture with Brother Sugi too.

Thought of the week:
Be a member missionary! Elder Anderson last week showed a video where investigators told in 5 seconds or less how the missionaries found them. Probably 85% said they had a friend who was a member, and shared the gospel with them one day. So be bold!!

Also,
Alma 5:6-7
6 And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, you that belong to this church, have you sufficiently retained in remembrance the captivity of your fathers? Yea, and have you sufficiently retained in remembrance his mercy and long-suffering towards them? And moreover, have ye sufficiently retained in remembrance that he has delivered their souls from hell?

7 Behold, he changed their hearts; yea, he awakened them out of a deep sleep, and they awoke unto God. Behold, they were in the midst of darkness; nevertheless, their souls were illuminated by the light of the everlasting word; yea, they were encircled about by the bands of death, and the chains of hell, and an everlasting destruction did await them.

REMEMBER the experiences that make you who you are, good and bad. Let your trials buoy you up because of the things you learn from them!!

Have a great week!

Elder Ellsworth
